An opportunistic thief spotted an oven on a road in Letterkenny and made off with it in a van.
“A man was transporting an oven in his car and he didn’t realise that the boot door was open,” An Garda Siochana said. “The oven fell out onto the road. A short time later a man came along in a small white van and he lifted the oven into the van before driving away. The man in question was described as being in his 50s and well-dressed. He then left in the direction of Letterkenny town.”
