RIP: 'A lady true and true' Tributes pour in for Donegal woman who passed away

Susan Vera O'Hanlon has sadly passed away

Tributes have poured in for Donegal woman Susan Vera O'Hanlon who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 20th 2025.

Susan resided in Tullaheady, Nenagh, Tipperary and formerly lived in Carrick, Donegal.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John, her cherished son Kieran, sisters Rose and Ann and brothers John and Seoirse.

Susan will be sadly missed by her loving son Martin, grandchildren Sean, Roisin and Saoirse, daughter-in-law Mary, sisters Mary, Jane and Kathleen. sisters-in-law Noreen, Rita and Mary Catherine.

She will also be sadly missed by her brother in law Peter, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A tribute on RIP.ie read, "saddened to hear that Vera has passed away. She was a lady and always made us feel so welcome in Tullaheady. My sincere sympathy to you Martin on the loss of your lovely Mam and to Mary, Sean, Roisin and Saoirse. Will be thinking of you all. Vera, may you rest in peace now back with your beloved John and Kieran".

Another read, "rest in peace, dear Vera. Your kindness and wisdom when I came to Ireland to visit will forever resonate in my heart. May your gentle soul find eternal serenity in the arms of angels above."

Another tribute said, "I love you so much Nanny. I know you’re up there with dad and grandad".

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Ryans Funeral Home, Nenagh (E45 KN93) this Wednesday from 5 o'c to 6.30 o'c.

Her remains will arrive at St. Mary of the Rosary Church, Nenagh on Thursday for Requiem Mass at 11 o'c.
