Caisleáin Óir Hotel in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht on the Wild Atlantic Way
A west Donegal hotel has generously told the local community they are welcome to use their facilities, with the electricity supply backed up by a generator.
Annagary's Caisleáin Óir Hotel posted: "We are lucky to have generator facilities to keep us up and running, we know most households in the area are out of power and we wish the extend an open invitation to our local community to use us as your home, with our compliments, for hot water, showers, cups of tea, household essentials, and if anyone has any damage and needs a room tonight, our doors are open to you with an offer of a room.
"We have never experienced a wind like this and hope you are all safe and well. Stay safe everyone."
