A tree that stood for over 100 years at St Eunan's College in Letterkenny is no more, following Storm Éowyn.

At the height of the storm on Friday afternoon, a money puzzle tree was broken, with the remainder since cleared up at the Sentry Hill-based secondary school, which was first opened in 1906.



"Unfortunately, we had to say farewell to our iconic Monkey Puzzle Tree that has stood over 100 years watching over Saint Eunan's and the generations of students who have walked through the doors," St Eunan's posted. "These photos follow it from its planting to today. Éowyn claimed the tree on Friday evening."
