This crowd-pleasing musical is inspired by and features the songs of the king himself, Elvis Presley.
In a small dull mid-western American town in 1955 repressed by their conservative mayor who makes having fun illegal, lives Natalie, a young mechanic who is dreaming of love and adventure. When a motorcycle riding roustabout arrives into town, he changes everything and everyone he meets inspiring the town folk to let loose, let their hair down, discover dance and fall in love.
This hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have the audience jumpin' out of their seats with such classics as Heartbreak Hotel, Jailhouse Rock and Don't Be Cruel.
Starring lots of young local talent, this is going to be one hell of a show, so pull on your blue suede shoes and get yourselves All Shook Up!
Shows run at 8pm nightly. It opened on Wednesday, January 29 and will continue until to Saturday, February 1. Tickets are selling fast. Booking is via the box office at abbeycentre.ie or by calling 071 9851375
