The  N14 - Letterkenny to Lifford road - has re-opened with 65kph speed limit

A section of the N14, the main Letterkenny to Lifford road, has opened having been closed for 11 days.

Donegal County Council confirmed the news: "N14 at Tullyrap has re-opened. Advisory 65kph speed limit in place."

A part of the road, at the Tullyrap bends, was closed since a fatal road traffic incident on Friday, January 24. Kacper Dudek, a 20-year-old, lost his life when a tree fell onto his car at around 5.30am at Feddyglass, Raphoe. 

The road was closed between White Cross and Feddyglass junctions and there were alternative routes, from Ballindrait to Raphoe, and from St. Johnson to Rosgier, being advised.
