CLG Cill Chartha have paid tribute to long-serving member of the club executive Charlie McDevitt, who has passed away.
Charlie gave over 50 years of service to the Towney-based club as they mixed it at the top of domestic Donegal GAA.
“We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of Charlie McDevitt, Churchtown,” the club posted. “Charlie was a lifelong supporter of the club and was part of the club executive for over 50 years, he was chairman first in 1963 - a position he held for the last time in 2002 being re-elected on numerous occasions during those years, he was also honoured to be club president from 2011 – 2013 and we will always be grateful for all he did for the club.

“Charlie’s remains will arrive at his home at 4pm today, Wednesday, and he will be removed to St Chartha’s Church on Thursday evening and his funeral will be on Friday. We pass on our condolences to Charlie’s family and many friends, ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
