Leghowney Drama Group is delighted to present this year’s production Cupid Wore Skirts, a good old-fashioned three-act comedy by Sam Cree.

A spokesperson said: "This particular play was performed by the Leghowney Drama Group 15 years ago.

"The action takes place in the living room at the rear of Andrew Coulter's antique shop. Widower Andrew Coulter ill-advisedly bets his abrasive sister in-law that he will be remarried within a week and promptly puts an advert in the personal column of the local paper.

"What follows is the usual antics as three highly unsuitable women line up as potential wives and a number of classic Sam Cree farcical situations unfold with hilarious results."

As always with Leghowney Drama, a great night of entertainment is guaranteed and not to be missed. Admission at the door for adults €10.

This year’s cast is a mixture of the seasoned players and a few new faces to the Leghowney stage:

Grandad Coulter - James Cassidy
Daphnie Dunlop - Emer McMullin
Brian Coulter - Pauric O'Donnell
Aunt Harriet Courtney - Marie McMullin
Andrew Coulter - Paul Gallagher
Ingrid Hanson - Suzanne Thomas
Gladys Gilmore - Berni Canny
Isobel Stanfield - Pat Ward
Ronnie - Patrick Ward
The production is directed by Dinny Ward and Edel McNally
