Cathaoirleach Cllr Niamh Kennedy opened the event, welcoming guests and emphasising the importance of building a supportive community where everyone feels valued. Attendees heard from key speakers, including Garda Fergus McGrory from An Garda Síochána, Michael Purtill from ALONE, and Mairéad Cranley from Age Friendly Ireland, who shared insights on phone safety, community supports, and age-friendly initiatives in Donegal.
The event concluded with a light lunch, providing an opportunity for socialising and celebrating the community spirit. Cllr Kennedy expressed her gratitude to all who attended and acknowledged the vital role of community involvement in making Donegal a more inclusive place to live.
