Any unwanted teddies or toys? Teddies for Puppies is coming to Letterkenny

A Teddies for Puppies collection is being held in Letterkenny.

The campaign aims to collect teddy bears and dog toys for dogs currently in Irish pounds. Over 7,000 dogs entered Irish pounds last year.

There will be a designated drop-off point at Letterkenny Community Centre from Friday, August 1, until Sunday, August 9. A marked container featuring the Teddies for Puppies logo will be available for donations.

“People are invited to drop any unwanted soft teddies or safe dog toys into the container during that time,” organiser Melanie McGuirk said. “Once the collection ends, I will personally deliver the teddies to as many pound puppies as possible across the country.

“I believe that something as simple as a soft teddy can help provide comfort, relaxation, and a feeling of being loved. A huge thank you to Watson Hire and Letterkenny Community Centre for their generous support in helping make this collection possible.”
