A remarkable total of €6,000 in prize money is up for grabs at this year’s Gleneely Sports Day, which takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 4.
The annual community event kicks-off at 2pm at the Gleneely Colts playing pitches, with a variety of fun games and activities for all the family.
There will be races for all ages, as well as obstacle courses, tea room, bouncy castles and much more.
There’s also a chance to show off your strength and prowess in the Gleneely strongest man and woman contest, while, at the other end of the scale, a bonny baby competition will also take place.

One of the highlights of the afternoon will be the final draw for the Gleneely Colts Lotto, with a jackpot top prize of €3,000, followed by a runners-up prize of €2,000 and a third prize of €1,000.
Organisers are urging people to get their tickets now. It’s a case of 3-2-1 gone!
Tickets are priced at just €2 each and they’re available at Carrick’s Bar, Orchard Bar and Your Stop Shop Gleneely; and also via any committee member.
