Storm Floris may cause dangerous traveling conditions, structural damage, fallen trees, debris and loose objects, power outages and wave overtopping
Today will be a wet and windy day in Donegal as Storm Floris makes its way over the county.
A Status Yellow Rain warning was issued from 2am until 10am this morning and a Status Yellow Wind warning will be in place until 4pm this evening, having come into effect at 4am.
Storm Floris is set to bring very strong and blustery southwest winds veering westerly, with some damaging gusts.
Possible impacts include dangerous traveling conditions, structural damage, fallen trees, debris and loose objects, power outages and wave overtopping.
Outdoor events may also be impacted.
Met Éireann say: “Bank Holiday Monday will start off wet and windy with strong and gusty southwest winds, veering westerly, reaching gale force in coastal parts.

“The rain will quickly clear eastwards through the early morning with sunny spells and showers to follow, these becoming a little more frequent later, but isolated otherwise. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, coolest in the north and northwest with the winds only slowly moderating later.”
Tonight will bring a mix of clear spells and scattered showers, some heavy.
Lowest temperatures are expected to be 10 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate, occasionally fresh, westerly breezes.
Tomorrow is set to be dry with sunny spells and some small, scattered showers in the morning.
Highest temperatures are set to be 15 to 19 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, decreasing light to moderate later in the day.
