Naomh Conaill GAA Club has extended its sympathies to the late John McDyre’s family, friends and neighbours.

John, who lived in Maas, Glenties, was 101. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, surrounded by his loving family.

“CLG Naomh Conaill wish to express our sincere sympathy to the family, friends and neighbours of John McDyre, Maas, Glenties, who has passed away peacefully in his 102nd year,” they shared. “May John rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”

John is predeceased by his loving wife Ann. Forever loved by his sons Gerard (Helen), Bernard (Deirdre), Denis (Elizabeth), daughters Breege (PJ RIP), Bernadette (Paddy), Ann Marie (Donal), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, neighbours and friends.

John’s remains will repose at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara today from 4pm until 7pm followed by removal to his home.

Rosary both nights at 9pm. Family time from 10pm until 10am. Family flowers only donations in-lieu if desired to The Day Centre Glenties.

Removal from his home on Saturday morning at 10:30am to St. Connells Church, Glenties for requiem mass at 11am with interment afterwards in the local cemetery.
