The 'Concrete Queen' to feature at public meeting in Burt next week

Cllr Joy Beard of the 100% Redress Party has announced that Debbie McCoy, widely known as the “Concrete Queen”, will return to Donegal on Friday, September 19, for a public meeting at An Grianán Hotel, Burt, at 7pm. 

Debbie has become a well-known figure among affected families across Ireland, earning the nickname “Concrete Queen” for her tireless efforts in highlighting the defective concrete crisis and her unwavering support for homeowners. She has consistently stood with communities facing the devastation of crumbling homes, helping to shine an international light on the scale of the disaster.

Welcoming the visit, Cllr Joy Beard said:  “I am delighted to welcome Debbie back to Donegal. She has been a true ally to our communities and her voice has been invaluable in bringing attention to the suffering caused by defective concrete. Known affectionately as the ‘Concrete Queen,’ Debbie has shown courage, compassion and determination in standing with families who feel abandoned.” 

The event at An Grianán Hotel will provide an opportunity for homeowners and campaigners to meet Debbie in person.
