The scene of the crash at Redcastle on Monday morning, September 15.

Emergency services are attending the scene of another crash near a notorious accident blackspot in Inishowen this morning.

A car ended up on its roof following the single-vehicle collision at Redcastle, just yards from Clar Corner on the main road between Moville and Muff.

Ambulance personnel and gardai are at the scene, but there are understood to be no serious injuries, despite significant damage to the vehicle.

The busy R238 road remains closed at Redcastle this morning, as gardai investigate the cause of the collision, with local diversions in place.

Gardai have said they will issue more details in due course.

The Monday morning crash is the latest in a long line of collisions – including a head-on smash last Sunday, September 7 – at a series of severe bends known locally as Clar Corner.
