Community invited to Board Games Night in Donegal Town

A new community initiative, Boards & Brews, is inviting adults in Donegal Town to step away from screens and enjoy an evening of classic board games and conversation.

The first Community Board Games Night takes place on Friday, September 16, from 7:30 to 9:30pm in the Methodist Church Hall, Donegal Town (F94 TR58).

Organisers promise a friendly, welcoming, and phone-free atmosphere where people aged 18 and over can connect over a hot cuppa and a wide selection of board games, from old favourites like chess and Scrabble to group party games and puzzles.

The evening is designed to bring people together in a relaxed, social setting. With no screens and no distractions, the focus is on fun, laughter, and building community connections.

The organisers are also appealing for volunteers to help run the events. Anyone interested can call 087 7189 620.
