Donegal collision sees two hospitalised and the ‘vehicle ended up in a ditch’

Two people were hospitalised and the “vehicle ended up in a ditch” following an east Donegal collision.

The single-vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the N14 at Carrickadawson, Raphoe, on Sunday, around 8:40am.

A black Nissan had been travelling from Lifford towards Letterkenny when the collision occurred.

“The vehicle ended up in a ditch,” Garda Grainne Doherty said. “The driver and passenger were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

“We appeal to anyone who may have observed the collision to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100. If anyone travelled along the N14 (Lifford to Letterkenny Road) with a dash-cam between 8.30am and 8.50am, we ask them to make the footage available to us.”
