Rossnowlagh’s Smugglers Creek Inn posted a celebrity visitor in the restaurant, with Ronan Keating of Boyzone fame dining in the restaurant.

The ‘Life is a Rollercoaster’ singer is believed to have been touring Donegal and Derry as part of a television series.

On the social media pages of Smugglers Creek Inn, they wrote: “Guess who popped in for a visit last Saturday? Ronan Keating and his BBC Production Team were filming a Wild Atlantic Way Travel Programme. They stopped off at Smugglers Creek for lunch after filming at our outdoor area across the road.”

Keating, who was in Donegal in the same week that Boyzone announced their comeback, also took to the stage in a surprise appearance at the Abbey Hotel in Donegal Town, singing with Claudia Buckley, as part of Jimmy Buckley’s Annual Country Music Weekend.

Those in attendance were treated to a special rendition of 'When You Say Nothing At All.'

The Abbey Hotel posted: “An absolute pleasure having Ronan with us tonight.

“Thank you for giving us all a night to remember! And your dancing was top tier. You're welcome back ANYTIME.”
