Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann proudly presents their must-see show Cairdeas, “Celebrating Connections”, coming to An Grianán Theatre in Letterkenny.
The show will be staged on Tuesday October 28, at 8pm as part of their national tour. Audiences will be treated to a spectacular showcase of traditional talent, featuring a selection of musicians with over 50 All-Ireland Fleadh medals between them. The concert promises to be an unforgettable journey through the living tradition of Ireland.
From exhilarating reels and lively jigs to moving ballads and dance, every performance will reflect the bonds of friendship that keep the tradition alive and thriving.
The concert “Cairdeas” is more than a performance, it is a celebration of the ties that connect us, across generations and communities, through the shared joy of Irish culture. Produced by Ray Conway, with music arranged and directed by Cian Kearins, “Cairdeas” will also feature a rich weave of prose and poetry from narrators Ciana Campbell, former broadcaster with RTÉ, and actor Diarmuid de Faoite, a familiar face from his stage appearances and screen appearances.
Performers include singers include Anthony Kearns and Karen Trench; dancers, Liam Guiney; Caelainn McGrath; Sophie Dunford; and musicians: Mary Kelly; Ademar O’Connor; William Holmes; Iarla McMahon; Ciarán Fitzgerald; Noel Stapleton; Aileen Bourke; Liam Guiney.
