The annual Great Big Art Event is set to take place this weekend.

Hosted by Morag McCafferty Artwork, the artist collaborative exhibition will take place at the Ballroom in Caisléan Óir Hotel, Annagry.

The collaboration of Donegal-based artists will showcase the work of 15 painters, two photographers and two sculptors. Kicking off this evening at 7pm, the display will run from 11am until 8pm Saturday and Sunday.

“All of the artists are really pushing their creative boundaries, and it’s always such a feel-good experience to be part of,” Mórag said. “Everyone is warmly invited to come along and see the incredible work on display.

“All have been working tirelessly to bring you a diverse collection of artwork – truly something for all tastes. Huge thanks to everyone at Caisleáin Óir Hotel, on Donegal’s beautiful Wild Atlantic Way route, for their ongoing patience and support of this wonderful community event.”

Mórag is a Donegal-based Scottish painter who has rekindled her art practice in recent years. Inspired by her stunning Gaeltacht surroundings, she loves to recreate local scenes and capture moments that have touched and inspired her.

Mórag’s paintings have found homes all around the world — in Ireland, New Zealand, the US, the United Arab Emirates, England and Scotland.

Details of the painters, photographers and sculptors that will be featured are available on Morag McCafferty Artwork Facebook page.
