Donegal's Sunday to brighten up a little later after a wet morning

Wet to begin today, Sunday, in Donegal with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, with spot flooding likely.

The rain will gradually clear northeastwards this afternoon and it will brighten up from the southwest with a mix sunny spells and isolated showers. Rather breezy at first with fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly easing light to moderate southwest as the rain clears. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

Tonight will bring a mix of clear spells and showers. Some of the showers could be heavy. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees with light to moderate variable winds, becoming northerly towards morning. Patchy mist and fog also.

Rather cloudy to begin on Monday with scattered showers, some of them heavy, especially in the east of the region. Brightening up from the west as the day goes on, with sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 13 or 14 degrees with mostly light to moderate northerly winds backing northwesterly.
