The President of Letterkenny Chamber, Jimmy Stafford, said: “We’re very excited about Halloween Fest this month. This event is a must for families looking for some Halloween activities. We encourage children, families and our businesses to dress up and join in the fun. The Halloween activities always bring a buzz to the Town Centre and give families a great, fun afternoon out.”
The fest will kick off from 12:30pm on the day, with lots of exciting activities lined up for everyone to enjoy. Families will experience all the usual favourites, such as the trick or treat trail, lots of family activities in The Courtyard Shopping Centre and the ever popular fancy-dress competition. This year, we will be joined by our (friendly) witch, Gertrude for the Halloween storytelling sessions in the Library and capture your memories of the day by visiting the photo booth at Market Centre.
The Trick or Treat Trail will run from 1pm to 3pm, with local businesses providing treats for everyone. Children and their families can also register (for a small fee) in The Courtyard Shopping Centre to take part in the fancy-dress competition organised by Letterkenny CDP. The afternoon rounds off with a Fancy Dress Halloween Parade led by Pinehill Studio Dancers, leaving McGettigan’s Hotel at 4pm and arriving at The Courtyard Shopping Centre for prizegiving.
