A man who was selling generators out of the back of a van in Newtowncunningham may have been selling stolen goods.

On Thursday October 16, gardaí received reports from the public and attended the scene. They seized a number of generators on the suspicion that they may be stolen goods. The investigation is ongoing.

A garda spokesperson said: “We wish to thank the members of the public who alerted gardaí to the matter. We ask the public to continue to be vigilant when out and about and to report suspicious people/vehicles to us immediately.”
