Gardaí are investigating the incident of criminal damage

A car parked outside a house in Quigley’s Point was damaged all along the driver’s side.

The incident occurred on the L1951 road at Carrowkeel, Quigley’s Point on Sunday, October 26, at approximately between 1am and 3am. A car that had been parked outside a house at that location was damaged all along the driver’s side.

Damage was caused to all of the panels and also to the wing mirror. The damage would appear to have been caused by another vehicle. It is believed that the vehicle involved would possibly have travelled onwards towards the R240 (Carndonagh Road) following the incident.

“We appeal to anyone who may have been in the area between those times with a dash-cam to make the footage available to Gardaí,” said a garda spokesperson. “Should anyone become aware of a vehicle that has sustained unexplained damage to the driver’s side, we ask them to get in touch with us. This is most likely to have been the side that sustained damage on the offending vehicle.”

Gardaí may be contacted in Buncrana on 074-9320540 in connection with this incident.
