Lorraine McCauley, affectionately known as Ireland's Songbird, is a country singer. The title was affectionately given to Lorraine by Canada's First Lady of Country Music, Ms Carroll Baker.

Lorraine is just back from singing at The 20th Anniversary of The Apple Country Music Jamboree held in Colbourne, Ontario organised by Gary E Warner. A wonderful few days of country music with the wonderful houseband, artists and beautiful Canadian audience. Lorraine performed her own set singing some of her number one singles to date and also performed at Sunday Morning's Gospel Concert.

Lorraine received the opportunity to work with Tracy Pitcox, Head of Texas Records and was blessed to sing with George and Tammy's Daughter Georgette Jones, singing one of Tammy's hits called  "Another Chance" also singing one of Loretta Lynn's Hits with Loretta's granddaughter, Tayla Lynn, "You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man”.

Lorraine has been playing country music since she was 12 years of age. She played keyboards in her father Adrian Mc Cauley's county music band on school holidays, taking her to wonderful county music venues across Ireland down through the years.

Lorraine decided to record her first single in 2019 when her father sadly passed away. She records with Terry Mc Ginty in Valley Music Studio, Ballybofey and has never looked back. She was the first Irish Female County Music Artist to win an award at Gaby and Peter Agrikola's Fairplay Country Music Red Carpet Awards show in Holland in 2020. She now has consecutively won five years in a row for her country music. Lorraine was nominated as Emerging Artist of the Year 2024 at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville. The Awards Ceremony was held in October at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville. Lorraine felt very blessed to attend The Grand Ole Opry for the Awards Ceremony and to meet founders of The Josie Music Awards Josie and TinaMaire Passantino-Boone. Two Inspirational Ladies. It was the most wonderful musical experience.

While in Nashville, Lorraine also toured the Inspirational Loretta Lynn Ranch which was a very spiritual experience. Loretta's music has been a great joy and comfort to many down though the years and Loretta will always hold a special place in Lorraine's heart. Lorraine always pays tribute to the Queen of Country Music at her concerts. While touring the Loretta ranch, Lorraine felt a great sense of peace throughout the grounds.
