Members of Raphoe Macra Club are celebrating national success
At the awards ceremony at the Celtic Ross Hotel, Co Cork, as well as winning the Macra Club of the Year, Raphoe Macra Club also won the North West Club of the Year.
An online statement by the young farmers club read: “With over 150 clubs across Ireland, this incredible achievement is a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and community spirit shown by all our members throughout the year.

“We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who helped in any way to make this success possible for our club. This is such a proud moment for our wee club, as we are the first ever to bring the title back to Donegal!”
Macra is a national voluntary youth organisation that supports young people in rural communities through social, agricultural, and personal development activities. It provides a community for young people with rural connections, promotes agriculture, and encourages involvement in areas like sports, travel, public speaking, and performing arts.
