Milford Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in the Falcarragh area when they came across the van today, Saturday, and immediately made a seizure and the driver faces a court appearance

A motorist in Donegal who had had no driving licence faces a court appearance after their van was seized for having no tax, no Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test and no insurance.

Milford Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in the Falcarragh area when they came across the van today, Saturday.

A photograph posted on the Garda Siochana Donegal Facebook page showed that the tax on the vehicle had expired this time last year, with insurance outdated since the end of July 2024 and the last CVRT was vaild until August 2023.

An Garda Siochana warned: "Always ensure that the paperwork for your vehicle and your documents are fully in order before you even consider taking to the roads."
