Disqualified driver detected behind the wheel by Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit

The disqualified driver was arrested and charged to appear in court and the car was seized

A disqualified driver was detected behind the wheel by Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit over the weekend.

The driver had no driving licence as a result of the disqualification and also had no insurance. They had also failed to surrender their driving licence as required following their previous court appearance. The driver was arrested and charged to appear in court and the car was seized.

“Unfortunately, some people continue to take risks on the roads,” shared An Garda Síochána Donegal. “Please make road safety a priority. Help us save lives on the roads by making responsible decisions as a driver.”

Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit also seized a van over the weekend that had no tax or test and the driver had no insurance. Court proceedings will follow.
