The Central Hotel and Leisure Centre, Donegal Town, is celebrating a remarkable achievement after being crowned Hotel Bar of the Year at the Irish Hotel Awards 2025.
The well-deserved accolade shines a spotlight on The Central Bar, which has become a cornerstone of local life — a place where the community gathers to celebrate life’s milestones, from birthdays and anniversaries to wedding after-parties and sporting triumphs.
In a touching tribute, General Manager Breda Haden dedicated the award to Hugh Mc Crudden, who has been at the heart of The Central Bar for an incredible 44 years.
“This award truly belongs to Hugh,” said Breda. “His dedication, and welcoming spirit have helped shape The Central Bar into what it is today — a place people love to come back to, time and time again.”
