Charlie Gallagher and Keith Corcoran told Halloween stories at Biddy's O'Barnes
A Halloween storytelling event held in Biddy’s O’Barnes on October 31 raised over €900 for the Cleary Centre Comfort Fund, a charity based in Donegal Town for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Organised by international storyteller and writer Ted Hall, he was joined by local writer, guide, and international storyteller, Keith Corcoran, and guide, storyteller, and blacksmith to the fairy host, Charlie Gallagher.
Hall told Donegal Live: “It was a great success - standing room only. It was well received by everyone. We had ghost and fairy stories, and shapeshifter stories, all within the Halloween tradition.

“It was introduced by the spirit of Oisin, son of Fionn mac Cumhaill, by passing through the veil of the mythic world and the human world. He told the story of the death of Cú Chulainn.
“Keith Corcoran and Charlie Gallagher told their stories to a standing-room crowd. They told their stories much to everyone’s pleasure. They are both excellent storytellers and had the crowd enjoying themselves. They really excelled.
“There was a raffle, and the first prize was a ton of coal.
“Everyone got on so well. It was a wonderful evening and the craic was mighty.”
