Business premises broken into in late-night entry in Letterkenny’s Port Road

Criminal incident occurred in Letterkenny

An attempted burglary took place at a business premises on Port Road, Letterkenny, near the town’s Atlantic Technological University (ATU) campus. 

Entry was believed to have been gained to the premises on Wednesday, October 29, between approximately 4am and 4.30am, through the rear door of the premises, which had been forced open, but nothing was stolen.

Damage had been caused to the front door of the premises, but it remained closed.

Gardaí are appealing for assistance from the public in relation to the incident. A statement read: “We appeal to anyone who may have travelled along that stretch of road with a dash-cam between 3.30am and 5am on October 29, to make that footage available to us.

“Any relevant information should be passed on to Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074 9167100.”
