The accused man faces four separate drugs charges.
A Buncrana man accused of having €700 worth of cannabis for unlawful sale or supply last year has appeared in court.
Don McManus, of 14 Earlsfort, Buncrana, is charged with two counts of having drugs for unlawful sale or supply, and two counts of possession of drugs.
The charges against the part-time chef, which are contrary to Section 15 and Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, were outlined at Buncrana District Court.
Quantities of cannabis were allegedly discovered at the 36-year-old’s Earlsfort home on February 23, 2024, as well as in his possession at Buncrana Garda Station later on the same date.

After hearing that the total value of the drugs involved was approximately €700, Judge Emile Daly agreed to accept jurisdiction, and the case will be heard at the District Court.
Judge Daly made the usual statements order for defence solicitor Rory O’Brien and adjourned the matter until the February 12 sitting of Buncrana District Court.
She also granted Legal Aid to the defendant.
