Inishowen's newest solicitor Chloe Hargan with her mum Helen, fiance Christopher Gallagher, and solicitor Ciaran MacLochlainn.
Inishowen’s newest qualified solicitor has been introduced to the courts here, as she sets out on her legal career.
Burnfoot woman Chloe Hargan was formally introduced by her colleague Ciaran MacLochlainn to Judge Emile Daly at the most recent sitting of Buncrana District Court.
Ms Hargan (26), who takes up employment with CS Kelly and Co Solicitors in Buncrana, is a past pupil of St Aengus National School in Bridgend and Crana College.
She furthered her studies at the Atlantic Technical University in Letterkenny before becoming a trainee at CS Kelly.
Mr MacLochlainn explained how Chloe kept on with her education and successfully completed her FE-1 law examinations.
She commenced her professional training with the Law Society in Blackhall Place in December 2022 and has now fully qualified as a solicitor, taking over from the late Joe Davies, who passed away earlier this year following a distinguished career.
Mr MacLochlainn pointed out how Chloe – who was in court with her proud mum Helen and fiancé Christoher Gallagher – is already a dedicated and trustworthy professional.
“As far as the legal profession is concerned, she’s a hard-working young lady and I’m delighted that she is working with us,” the veteran Buncrana solicitor added.
Inishowen Garda Inspector Sean McDaid wished the young Burnfoot woman well in her upcoming legal endeavours.
“On behalf of An Garda Siochana, I’d like to welcome you to Buncrana Court and wish you every success in your career; but hopefully we’ll be on the winning side more often than you!” Ins McDaid smiled.

Judge Daly also warmly congratulated Ms Hargan on her appointment.
“It’s a proud day for you and a proud day for your family. I wish the very best. Good luck and congratulations. I’m sure you’ll be an asset.”
Ms Hargan then thanked everyone for their kind words and warm welcome.
“It’s an honour to be introduced. I’d like to thank CS Kelly & Co Solicitors, especially Mr Ciaran MacLochlainn, for introducing me today and taking me on board – and for providing me with the opportunity to work locally in the community where I’m from here in Inishowen.”
Ms Hargan also wished Inishowen Judge Daly well in her new role in District Court Number One.
