Car was broken into on Ballybofey Road in Donegal Town

A fishing knife and beer were stolen in Donegal Town after a parked vehicle on a driveway was illegally broken into. 

Gardaí are investigating the theft incident that occurred at Drumlonagher, Donegal Town, on the Ballybofey Road, on Friday, November 21 at approximately 8.10pm.

A jeep that was parked in the driveway of a house at that location was entered, and a number of cans of beer and a fishing knife were stolen from it.

Gardaí have issued a statement appealing for public assistance on the incident. The statement read: “We appeal to anyone who may have travelled along that busy stretch of road with a dash-cam between 8pm and 8.30pm on Friday, to make the footage available to us.

“Gardaí in Ballyshannon may be contacted on 071-9858530 in connection with the incident.

“The Garda Confidential Line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
