Proposed site for Convoy homes

A planning application has been resubmitted to Donegal County Council for the construction of 32 residential dwellings in Convoy.

Apex Housing Association has submitted the applicants, which include a mixture of two-bed and three-bed houses located at Convoy Townparks.

The proposals differ from a separate planning application in Convoy, which also proposes 32 houses, but in Flax Fields.

A previous application by Apex Housing Association for the site at Convoy Townparks was submitted in January 2024, but subsequently withdrawn in September 2024.

As part of the application, a planning report written on behalf of Apex Housing Association stated: “The proposed development has been carefully designed to achieve a balance between protecting existing residential amenity and providing a high-quality residential development within the settlement boundary of Convoy, which is in keeping with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area.”

Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the application for January 28, 2026.
