There is significant Donegal involvement in Gifted, the Contemporary Craft and Design Fair at the RDS, Dublin.

Eighty-five makers from across Ireland will exhibit at this year’s Made Local exhibition space at Gifted, including master weaver, Eddie Doherty from Ardara. He is a member of the Design and Craft Council's Made Local campaign.

Other Donegal participants taking part are textile designer Bernie Murphy, Fiona Herbst Jewellery, Hannah McGuinness Jewellery, Kellee Cottage Crafts, Maria Connolly Ceramics, painter and sculptor Marina Hamilton, Mi Chelle textile knitwear, Rathlin Knitwear and The Donegal Natural Soap Company.

In addition to the tantalising variety of Irish craft products, visitors can expect the very best of Ireland’s handweavers, fashion designers, and crochet artists, as this year’s show celebrates the Year of the Textile. Just in time for Christmas gifting, DCCI invites shoppers to explore the Made Local exhibition area, and to look out for exhibitor stands with a Made Local sign to discover high-quality, locally crafted and sustainable gifts. Made Local celebrates the creativity, quality and value of Irish-designed, handcrafted products, and champions both the makers and retailers behind them.
