An Garda Siochana in Donegal have paid tribute to a member who was killed in Donegal 16 years ago today.
Garda Gary McLoughlin, who was 24 and from Foxfield, Fenagh, Co Leitrim, died after suffering multiple injuries as a result of the crash on December 13, 2009 at Lisfannon, Burt.
“Today, we remember a very dear friend and colleague, Garda Gary McLoughlin, who sadly lost his life in the line of duty 15 years ago,” An Garda Siochana posted. “Gary is never far from our minds and from the minds of all those who knew and loved him. He is deeply missed and will always be remembered. May Gary rest in peace.”
