Morning theft of possessions from car parked at St Conal’s Hospital

The theft occurred at St Conal’s Hospital Carpark - the old site of the Covid-19 Testing Centre

Gardaí are appealing for information following a theft from a car in Letterkenny. 

The theft incident occurred on Tuesday, December 9, between the hours of 8:30am and 9am at St Conal’s Hospital Carpark - the old site of the Covid-19 Testing Centre. 

A mustard suede River Island handbag, a black River Island purse, a driver's licence, bank cards and a small amount of cash were stolen from within the car; however, no damage was caused.

“We appeal to anyone who may have observed any suspicious activity in that area that morning to get in touch with Letterkenny Gardaí on 074-9167100,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty. “If anyone was in the area of the Kilmacrennan Road or the carpark in question itself with a dash-cam that morning, please get in touch with us also. 

“We wish to remind drivers to always ensure that their vehicle is locked, regardless of whether it is parked at home or in a public place. Do not leave valuables in your car. 

“Should you ever observe suspicious activity around parked cars when out and about, please alert Gardaí immediately.”
