Cllr Micheál Naughton at a meeting with Transport Infrastructure Ireland in Dublin
Funding has been allocated and works will commence at the roundabout in Laghey.
A contractor will begin in January on works to improve the N15/R232 identified by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) as a High Collision Location.
As part of the Road Safety Improvement Scheme, the design will feature a single-lane roundabout for entry, exit, and circulation.

“I was delighted to meet with the TII in Dublin,” Local councillor Cllr Micheál Naughton said. “I got confirmation today that funding is allocated for the Laghey Roundabout and the contractor will be on the ground in January.
“This is brilliant news for the people of South Donegal, Laghey and the local communities. This is something I have been working on since I became a councillor.”
The project is primarily funded by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and managed by Donegal County Council's National Road Design Office.
