Application granted to improve Donegal GAA Centre facilities
Donegal GAA are to continue the development of its GAA Centre in Convoy after receiving planning permission from Donegal County Council for the implementation of new facilities at the site.
Planning permission was granted for the erection of fencing, spectator rails, dugouts, a scoreboard, and all associated site works at Donegal GAA Centre.
The planned scoreboard is for the main pitch of the GAA Centre, and the planned dugouts and the majority of the spectator rails are planned for pitch three of the five-pitch facility.

Donegal GAA had received conditional approval in a separate application from Donegal County Council for floodlighting around pitches three and four in September 2025, and this current application represented the next stage of Donegal GAA Centre’s development.
Planning permission was granted by Donegal County Council with four conditions, for reasons including defining the permission, preventing flooding, catering for orderly development and for the interest of visual amenities.
