South Donegal school announces public meeting to discuss school’s future

The Board of Management of Fintra National School has announced a public meeting to take place to discuss the future of the school from September 2026.

The public meeting will be held at Fintra National School on Monday, January 12, from 7pm, and all are welcome to attend.

Fintra National School is located on spacious grounds, around two miles from Killybegs.

The school is a co-educational Catholic primary school, which has two mainstream class teachers, two learning support teachers and three special needs assistants. 

Fr Colm Ó Gallchóir, Parish Priest of St Mary of the Visitation Church in Killybegs, is the Chairperson of the school’s six-person Board of Management, and Emma McGinty is the Principal of the School.
