Gardaí in Buncrana are appealing for the return of the equipment belonging to Buncrana Fire Services

Gardaí are appealing for the return of “essential” equipment from Buncrana Fire Services which went missing after a callout.

On Saturday, December 20, Buncrana Fire Services attended the scene of a collision at Links View estate at Ludden, Buncrana.

When they returned to base following the incident they realised that some of the equipment they had used at the scene was missing, namely a yellow strobe light and two signs. The larger of the two signs was red and white and it read ‘Fire Brigade Incident Ahead’ and the smaller sign was black and white with the following writing on it ‘200 M’.

“If anyone has any information in relation to the current location of these items, we ask them to contact Buncrana Gardaí on 074-9320540,” said Garda Gráinne Doherty. “We are very anxious to retrieve these items as they are essential pieces of equipment for the Fire Service and so any relevant information will be very much welcomed.”
