The lorry overturned between Moville and Redcastle on the main road.
Gardai are investigating the circumstances of a road traffic collision involving a lorry near Redcastle this morning, Monday.
The incident, which occurred shortly after 7.30am on January 12, resulted in a large truck going off the road and overturning into a field at Carrickmaquigley, on the Moville side of Redcastle village.
Emergency services, including the Gardai, Fire Brigades from Moville and Carn, and ambulance personnel, have attended the scene, but it’s understood there are no serious injuries.
The road remains open to traffic, with a stop/go system currently in place. Motorists should expect delays.
A Garda spokesperson explained: “Gardai received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic incident at Carrickmaquigley, Redcastle, County Donegal, on 12th January 2026.”
“The incident, involving a HGV, occurred shortly after 7:30am. There are no injuries reported at this time.”
