Maintenance of Bundoran’s clothing banks ‘becoming a major problem’

Cllr McMahon commented on the maintenance of bottle and clothes banks in Bundoran

Bundoran-based councillor, Michael McMahon, has criticised the maintenance of clothing banks in Bundoran, saying that the issue was “becoming a major problem.

At January’s meeting for Donegal Municipal District, Cllr McMahon asked Rosita Mahony, an administrative officer for Environmental Service, for a meeting to be organised regarding the issue of bottle banks and clothes banks in Bundoran, stating that he was “open to advice.”

Cllr McMahon said: “In relation to Bundoran’s bottle banks and clothes banks, the clothes banks are not being emptied, and it is becoming a major problem.

“It is very important that they are looked after in a proper fashion. There is a development going on, and there are going to be provisions about new bottle and clothes banks, and I am not sure I want any at all.”
