A safety assessment will be carried out on a busy stretch of road between Letterkenny and Ramelton.

Possible traffic calming measures will be considered for the Castleshanaghan Road (L1104-1) at Ballymaleel.

This comes after Cllr Donal Coyle brought a motion to the January meeting of Letterkenny-Milford MD calling for the council to erect traffic calming signs on the road.

Cllr Coyle said he had been approached by a resident who raised concerns about the stretch of road. His motion was seconded by Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly.
