A GoFundMe has been launched to aid the family of a St Johnston toddler who is battling for his life in a Dublin hospital.

Little Daibhin Curran is in a critical condition in Crumlin Hospital.

A son of Barry and Megan Curran from St Johnston, Daibhin has been diagnosed with myocarditis and cardiomyopathy. Daibhin is also battling with rhinovirus and parvovirus infections,

As his heart and lungs are not able to function on their own right now, Daibhin is being supported by an ecmo machine, a form of life support used in critical situations.

“We are asking for help to ease the overwhelming financial dreadful situation,” says Lisa Crawford, Daibhin’s aunt.

“I am writing/setting this up on behalf of Megan and Barry Curran during the most difficult time of their lives.

Already, over €10,000 has been raised as communities and friends have rallied in support. You can donate by clicking here.

“Any donation no matter the size will be greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness support and prayers.”
