Staff at Donegal Local Development CLG’s Gaoth Dobhair office were treated to a surprise visit from The Young Offenders star Alex Murphy this week.

The Cork actor, known for his role in the hit comedy as delinquent Conor MacSweeney, is currently in Donegal filming the second series of Irish-language crime drama CRÁ. 

He plays Garda Barry Roche in the series produced by Fíbín Media and Fíbín Films NI Ltd for BBC Gaeilge and TG4 with support from Screen Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund, Coimisiún na Meán and distributors About Premium Content (APC).

DLDC shared a photo from the visit, saying Alex “took the time out of his busy schedule to drop in to say hello to the delighted DLDC staff members Máire Mhic Pháidin, Fergal Daly, and Patrick Carr!”
