Planning permission sought to complete partially finished Raphoe housing estate

Cathedral Hill, Raphoe

Planning permission has been sought from Donegal County Council for the completion of 11 partially constructed houses in Raphoe, from a granted application dating back to 2006.

Claudy-based Glenmac Developments Ltd has applied for the completion of the 11 houses at Cathedral Hill, Raphoe, and all associated site works.

Glenmac Developments Ltd have other Donegal interests, having been granted planning permission for the construction of over 40 properties in Ramelton in January 2024.

The partially completed houses in the current planning application derive from a 2006 granted planning permission from Coalport Company Ltd, which allowed for the construction of 70 dwellings, a creche with three apartments, a new roundabout and the retention of 50 houses on foot of planning permission.

In 2012, an extension of duration of that permission was granted for an additional five years.

Donegal County Council has set a decision due date for the submitted application for April 19.
