Woodlawn, Stranorlar
An attempted burglary in Stranorlar is being investigated by Gardaí as a resident discovered damage to the rear window of her property after hearing a man’s voice shouting ‘hello.’
The incident occurred at a property in Woodlawn on Saturday, February 21, at approximately 7.45pm. Woodlawn was also the scene of burglaries on February 11 and February 12, when jewellery and money were stolen from two properties.
A man’s voice could be heard shouting “hello” outside of the property, and the resident asked who was there, but received no response.
It was then discovered that damage had been caused to a rear window at the property, but no entry had been gained.
A Gardaí statement read: “We appeal to anyone who may have observed any type of suspicious activity, vehicles or people in the Woodlawn area on that date to get in touch with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.
