Hundreds of Buncrana customers were left without power.
Around 600 homes and businesses in Buncrana have been affected by a significant electricity outage this afternoon following reports of fallen power lines in the area.
Customers lost power shortly after 12.30pm on Monday, March 16, with large parts of the town left without electricity as crews began investigating the fault.
Power has since been restored.
The outage, the second in six weeks, was believed to be linked to reports of a fallen electricity wire, prompting warnings for the public to stay away from the affected location.
According to ESB Networks, approximately 600 customers were impacted by the disruption.
Redress Cllr Joy Beard said she contacted both ESB Networks and An Garda Síochána to alert them to the issue after receiving reports from concerned residents.
